Boat races

Spent the day at the boat races at Lake Puddingstone. It was an awesome day! They were racing K-boats (my favorite) Crackerboxes and GN boats. I really enjoy the Crackerboxes as well, they haul ass and are always exciting to watch!

Pro Street

Our friend Tyler is keeping the pro street dream alive with his 69 El Camino. It's a full back half car with 33-21.50 Mickey Thompsons in the back. The engine is a 383 with a 8-71 blower, it should make plenty of power to spin those sweet meats!!

The Jeff Neppl Merc

Our friend Jeff Neppl stopped by the shop today for some maintenance on the new caddy motor. Keith Dean installed the motor, then we did everything to get the car running. We had to build headers, mount the battery, relocate the radiator, plumb the carbs, make the linkage basically everything involved in making a motor swap. We finished Jeff's car a little bit before last years GNRS, where the car was in the history of customs building. It was awesome to see the car at the shop today, it was like an old friend returning!

Lightning Bug

So today I stopped by my friends shop Romance With Rust, and got to peak at the almost completed Lightning Bug. This car was ran by the Schley Brothers, then sold to a guy in Puerto Rico. The Schleys bought it back and brought it to Romance With Rust, where Chris and Willi have done an awesome restoration job.

New shirt

So this is pretty exciting, we have a new shirt design by Harpoon. (thanks Poon) if you are interested you can purchase them from the website www.circlecityhotrods.com. We have them in men's and women's sizes.
Thanks!

John Bond/Byers

We are almost ready to ship this little guy off to paint. This an interesting project, the car was built in the 50's by John Bond who was the owner/editor of Road&Track. The body is a Byers, and it sits on top of a 1950 shoebox Ford frame. The premise behind the car was "build a thousand dollar sports car". We are restoring it to how it was in the later 50's early 60's era of the car.
